Feature Update (0.1.20)
This has been a busy week as we prepare for the pre-alpha release. We have four major features, which includes improvements to the inventory, a new kernel type, renting and shouting!

Inventory Upgrades
We have made various upgrades to the inventory system; you can now hold items that you have in your inventory, to move them to your hands.
You can also stash items held in your hands to move them back to the inventory.
Alternatively, you can also type 'freehands' or 'fh' and clear out all your held items.
In the screenshot below, there's a typo in the emote that has been fixed already.
We originally had plans for an inventory based on pockets & hands, but we have realized that that was not a direction that was important for our community, hence the scale back. You have hands, but you also have a more traditional inventory.
SuppliOS
SuppliOS is a machine that will be staff-owned, providing players with various items that are not available to be crafted or made through the game-world yet.
Here is an example of the list command with the wares available at the time of coding it:
Here is an example of how the purchasing process goes, which interacts with our currency wallets system:
The purpose of this machine will be to make available items on our pre-alpha that will be impossible to obtain otherwise. We will very likely not have crafting in pre-alpha, so this machine is quite essential.
Renting
We have been thinking a lot about renting; it's one of those features that we have been planning to implement for a long time, and we believe it requires to be as flexible as it can be.
That's why we have made things rentable. Here is the rent command's helpfile:
Basically, this allows you to get the ownership of various objects (such as all the rooms and exits in a home).
Here is how this looks from the player's view:
This is one of the features that we have been looking forwards to the most; renting will let us be able to give players businesses, housing and even adopt kernels!
Shouting
We have implemented shouting, which allows you to communicate with adjacent rooms.
Following
One of the most dreaded features I had was the follow command. However, I ended coding it in less than five seconds since I figured out an easy way to do it with the ECS!
This is one of the most sought after features of our testers and staff, finally here:
Echoes on Door Actions
There were no echoes on the OTHER side of the door when you opened it, closed it, locked it or unlocked it. This has been resolved now.
What's Next?
We are likely to work on oxygen deprivation next, although this might change if I block myself along the way. After oxygen deprivation, we need to implement some rudimentary way to heal yourself, and make the 'flee' combat ability.

We're itching to get to the 0.2.0 milestone when we release our pre-alpha! It's going to be very exciting.
On the development side, we have seven weeks to go; I will have two weeks where I am traveling and I'm unlikely to develop much.
